Greta Scarano nominated for the David di Donatello Awards: recognition from Cinesorriso Imperia
There is a thin yet powerful line that connects film festivals to major awards: it is the one shaped by vision, sensitivity, and the ability to recognize talent at the very moment it emerges.
We are particularly pleased to learn about Greta Scarano’s nomination at the David di Donatello Awards in the Best First Feature category for the film La vita da grandi.
An important recognition that confirms the strength and urgency of an authentic directorial voice, capable of addressing complex themes with both delicacy and depth, while maintaining a rare balance between emotion and lightness.
During the first edition of Cinesorriso Imperia 2026, the film was at the heart of one of the festival’s most intense moments, receiving the Best First Feature Award, accepted by Yuri Tuci, the film’s lead actor, on behalf of the director.
A recognition that now takes on even greater meaning: being among the first to support and highlight this project makes us especially proud.
Cinesorriso was born with this very mission: to tell the present through cinema, to give space to new voices, and to accompany artistic journeys that are redefining the contemporary language of comedy and audiovisual storytelling.
We are also very excited to discover, on May 6, the winners of the different categories at the David di Donatello Awards - an always anticipated moment celebrating the best of Italian cinema.
Our warmest wishes go to Greta Scarano and the entire cast of La vita da grandi, with the hope of seeing this important work recognized at the awards ceremony as well.
