Villa Grock and the Art of Humor
Cinesorriso Off Special at the Clown Museum
On the occasion of Cinesorriso Imperia, the Clown Museum at Villa Grock presents a special programme of activities dedicated to the art of humor and to the figure of Grock, one of the great protagonists of 20th-century comedy.
The guided visits lead visitors through the rooms of the villa along a path that explores the poetics of laughter in its artistic dimension: body, rhythm, silence and gesture become the tools through which the clown builds a universal language capable of speaking to audiences of all ages.
The visits will take place Saturday 14 March at 11:00 and 15:00 and Sunday 15 March at 11:00, offering the opportunity to rediscover Villa Grock as a symbolic place for the culture of humor and the history of performance.
The programme continues Sunday 15 March at 15:00 with “Puppeteers for a Day!”, a creative workshop dedicated to families. Fathers and children will be able to create a puppet inspired by the style of the Muppets and bring it on stage on the villa’s small theatre stage, inventing a short story together.
The initiative is part of the Cinesorriso Off programme, the calendar of side events accompanying the festival and bringing the spirit of the festival beyond the cinema halls, through meetings, activities and moments of participation open to the city.
