Angela Finocchiaro opens Cinesorriso Imperia

Angela Finocchiaro will open the first edition of Cinesorriso Imperia. During the festival’s opening night, scheduled for March 12 at the Teatro Cavour, the actress will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, a recognition celebrating one of the most authoritative artistic paths in Italian humor.

With a career spanning cinema, theatre and television, Finocchiaro has developed a distinctive style in which irony and sensitivity coexist with a constant attention to characters and contemporary reality.

The award reflects the cultural vision of the festival, which places humor at the center as a language capable of interpreting the present. The smile thus becomes a tool for observation and connection with the audience, able to unite lightness and depth.

The opening night will be followed by the screening of the film Amichemai by Maurizio Nichetti, officially launching the festival’s cinematic journey.

Over the three days of the festival, awards will also be presented to Matilde Gioli, Paolo Calabresi and Greta Scarano for her directorial debut with La vita da grandi, within a program that brings together screenings, meetings and moments of dialogue between cinema and new media.
