I am an actress, author and teacher. I live in Rome, where I run the off-theatre Nuovo Piccolo Garbatella with the association OfficineMAC, with plenty of passion and zero funding.
I have written theatre shows, a short film and a web series, all with a comic-brilliant tone, because if we are going to portray society, we might as well do it laughing. Social satire is my favourite field.
Since 2016 I have directed acting courses for non-professional adults, because, as someone once said, “up close, no one is normal.”
For me, social media are a magnifying glass on human dynamics. There I enjoy playing characters who “seem” absurd… but unfortunately really exist.
I use the mockumentary technique: I never openly state that it is a parody.
The most fascinating part? Discovering that many users took everything as real.
And so, from that startling confusion between reality and satire, my favourite social experiment was born: the self-stitch on TikTok.
